Blog 3 - Packing for School - Pt 2
The classic cookies, my favorite! I knew that only Nana makes those! I went to the backyard to see if Nana and Gramp were here. I walked outside an found a bunch of moving boxes.
"Mom, Nana and Gramp are here!"
"Ok, honey, calm down." Mom said as she walked outside.
"I can't believe that they are going to live in out backyard!" I exclaimed as I slipped my shoes on.
"For your information, it's a guest house." Matthew said while coming out the door.
"Whatever Matthew." I rolled my eyes.
"Hey kiddos!" Said a familiar voice.
"Nana!" I ran towards my grandma. Mom looks a lot like Nana. Nana has blue eyes, grey hair, and a pointy nose. She loves knitting and making funky clothes.
I hugged Nana real tight. Nana used to live in Florida so we rarely see her. But now she is going to live with us! I think I'm repeating that a lot, but I can't help it!
"Scott is in the house with Brandon with Lucy." Nana said smiling. Brandon is my dad and Scott is my grandpa!
"Can I go see Gramp? Please, please, please?" I said jumping up and down.
"Of course!" Mom said. Then she started talking to Nana about the journey and other things like that.
Me and gramps like making things together. So when I went inside, that's what we did. I went in the room and ran towards my grandpa while uncontrolably smiling. We talked about everything we could talk about. School, traveling, birthdays, family, and way more. While we talked, we made a shelf for the bedroom and decorations for the living room. Me and Gramp have a lot of things in common. We love music, we both love making things and a lot of other things that I could just go on a on about. But the main thing that me and Gramps had in common was that we just moved.
My family and I used to live on Olive Street, but now I live in Willow Lane! I felt really sad that I had to move because I wouldn't be able to see my friends as much. I still call my friends and we still talk. But I am looking forward to making even more friends!
Once we were done with all of the moving stuff, we went inside and had cookies and lemonade. We talked and laughed and had fun! Soon it was time for Lucy's nap and time for Nana and Gramps to settle in. I went to go pack my things for tomorrow. I got a bag for supplies that would stay at school and I put things I take home in my backpack.
The rest of the day went by really fast. I packed finished my summer reading, cleaned my room and ate dinner. Then, I set out my outfit and started journaling. (which you are seeing now) Now that I'm done journaling, I am going to go to bed.
Lucy out for the day!✌🏻
