The First Day of School

Hey guys! I'm back with another journal entry. My mom told me to come down and eat dinner.

ANYWHO, lunch was pretty fun. I had already made a new friend which was a plus and my classes were really fun. We mostly just did games to get the know eachother and introductions to each topic. Before lunch, I had reading and did half of math.

My teacher Mrs. Griffen is really nice! Her whole room smells like lavender and she let us choose where we wanted to sit. Now I have good and bad news. The good news is that Norah is in my class sitting right on my right. The bad news is that the mean girls are in our class too. Sitting right next to us on to the right. Thankfully we only did introductions today because I was very disctracted with Marie putting gum in people's hair and Karen, who's the girl with the red hair, throw erasers at people. The last girl, named Clara, was very shy. She didn't want to talk to anyone and barely laughed at Marie's jokes. She didn't seem to fit in with the mean girls. She just paid attention to school. She didn't bully anyone either.

"Why is Clara so- well so nice? She doesn't bully people in class." I ask Norah as we walk into the cafeteria.

"Well the only reason Clara sticks with the other girls is because their all CRAZY rich. I think their parents want them to fit in so they sent them to a  public school." Norah said taking a cheeseburger.

"Well I'm sure they would like it better in a private school with other rich people. How come all of them had the same idea?" I ask while loading my tray with food and trying to look for a table.

"Here's a table."Norah said walking over to it. "Anyways, the girls knew each other since they were little. And Marie over there had always been the main girl. She would give the rest of them orders and they would listen to her. Now I have talked to Clara before but she got in BIG trouble with the other girls after our chat."

I took a big bite of my pizza. And for some time we just stared at eachother. Then, we broke out in laughter.

"Why are we just staring at eachother?" I said wheezing.

"I don't know!" Norah said trying to stop laughing.

Once we calmed down, we talked about other stuff like how school was last year, our interests and other things like that. And the rest of the school day went just fine. We finished math and science, we went to recess. Our parents picked us up and met eachother. Then we went home with our siblings. Turns out, Norah has a big sister. Once I got home, I unpacked and had a snack. Then, I called Norah on the phone. We just talked and went back to our normal lives. Finnaly, I cleaned my room, spent time with my family and had dinner. And now I'm about to go to sleep so...
